History:
The Old Hospital on College Hill, located in Williamson, West Virginia, was originally built in 1928 to serve as the Williamson Memorial Hospital. For decades, it was the primary medical facility for the region, treating thousands of patients, including coal miners injured in accidents, critically ill residents, and those suffering from mental health conditions. In 1988, a new hospital was constructed, and the original facility was repurposed as a nursing home and behavioral health center before finally closing in the early 2000s.
 
The abandoned hospital quickly gained a reputation for its creepy atmosphere and unsettling history, with many locals recounting stories of tragic deaths, medical experiments, and lingering spirits. Today, it is a popular site for historical tours and paranormal investigations.
 
Due to its long and often tragic past, the Old Hospital on College Hill has become known as one of the most haunted locations in West Virginia. Visitors and paranormal investigators report numerous supernatural occurrences.
